Nr. 1 AROUND SANDAR 1

·· Riding skills: Beginners or little riding experience. Enjoy a short ride in the vicinity of Sandar and the Riding Centre. This is a pleasant trip in tranquil settings.

Nr. 2 AROUND SANDAR 2
· Duration: 2 hours/ 1 ½ hours riding.
· Price: ISK 6.500,- · Departures: From the Riding Centre everyday at; 14:00, 16:00 and 20:00 o’clock.
· Riding skills: Some riding experience necessary. This is a pleasant tour in tranquil settings, that starts from Sandar, passes the farm called Muli, down to the Sanda River and then to the beach. Enjoy riding the black sand before returning to the Riding Centre.

Nr. 3 RIDING CENTRE 1
· Duration: 1 hours/ ½ hours riding
· Price: ISK 3.500,-
· Departures: Book in advance. Minimum of 2 people.
· Riding skills: Beginners or little riding experience.
· Introduction of the horse and equipment.This is an ideal choice for beginners.

Nr. 4 RIDING CENTRE 2
· Presentation of the Icelandic horse and its five gaits (15-20 minutes).
· Groups only, minimum of 15 people.
· Price: ISK 1.500,- per person.
· Book in advance.

Nr. 5 BREKKUDALUR VALLEY
· Duration: 3 hours/ 2 ½ hours riding.
· Price: ISK 7.500,-
· Departures: Book in advance. Minimum of 2 people.
· Riding skills: Some riding experience necessary. The tour starts from the Riding Centre, goes through the forestry area to Brekkuhals, continues towards the valley to an old sheep pen made of rocks and soil and return the same way.

Nr. 6 A PICTURAL TRIP ON THE MOUNTAIN SANDAFELL
· Duration: 3 1/2 hours / 3 hours riding.
· Price: ISK 8.500,-

· Riding skills: Riding experience needed. This is a pleasant tour for those who want to ride slowly and take in the beautiful nature. The tour starts from the Riding Centre, goes along the mountain Sandafell and through the forestry area to Brekkuhals. The journey then continues slowly up the mountain Sandafell where you have a beautiful view of Dyrafjordur.

Nr. 7 A STORY TRAIL OF GISLI SURSSON
· Duration: 5 hours / 3 ½ hours riding
· Price: ISK 13,500,-
· Departures: Book in advance. Minimum of 5 people.
· Riding skills: Some riding experience necessary.
· Story trail in Haukadalur valley with a guide. The tour starts from the Riding Centre and goes towards Medaldalur valley. Then you ride down by the sea around the Haukadalsnes to Haukadalur valley which is the main setting for the Gísli Súrsson saga. The guide on this trip is an expert on Gisli Sursson and has years of experience guiding this trail.

Nr. 8 GALTADALUR VALLEY
· Duration: 5 hours / 4 hours riding.

· Departures: Book in advance. Minimum of 2 people.
· Riding skills: This tour is ideal for people with some riding experience, as the rider must be able to control the horse on different types of ground. The tour starts from the Riding Centre, goes through the forestry area to Brekkuhals, towards the valley to an old sheep pen made out of rocks and soil and continuing to Galtardalur valley and then back again the same way.

Nr. 9 MEDALDALUR VALLEY
· Duration: 4 hours / 3 ½ hours riding.
· Price: ISK 9.500,-
· Departures: Book in advance. Minimum of 2 people.
· Riding skills: This tour is ideal for people with some riding experience, as the rider must be able to control the horse on different types of ground. The tour starts from the Riding Centre towards Medaldalur valley. You then ride along the golf course into the valley and back again to the Riding Centre.

Nr. 10 FOSSDALUR VALLEY
· Duration: 6 hours / 4 ½ hours riding.
· Price: ISK 14.000,-
· Departures: Book in advance. Minimum of 5 people.
· Riding skills: This tour is ideal for people with some riding experience, as the rider must be able to control the horse on different types of ground. The tour starts from the Riding Centre at Sandar, to the farm Muli. The tour continues in Kirkjubol valley up to the pass at the roots of the West Fjords’ highest mountain, Kaldbakur. You then ride down to Foss valley in the next fjord, Arnarfjordur, and the back again the same way. This trip is only available if the snow has melted on the pass of the mountain. You travel along beautiful scenery in the area usually called the “the West Fjords’ Alps”.

The terms
· Children under the age of 8 can only ride inside the Riding Centre or in fenced areas and they are the responsibility of their parents/guardians.
· Childre· Children between the ages of 9-12 are only permitted on riding tours if accompanied by an adult.
· The tours are weather conditioned and Knapaskjol may cancel trips if the weather is unfavourable, in such cases the tour will be fully refunded.
